The Woodland Warriors boys lacrosse team is led by Head Coach Brandon Choate. Brandon has nearly 20 years of lacrosse experience. Growing up in Georgia, Brandon began playing in middle school. He then founded and started both the boys and girls lacrosse teams at his high school, where he was also named 1st Team All-State during his senior year. After declining a scholarship to play at D2 school Mars Hill College in North Carolina, he continued on to play in college as a middie while attending USF and WKU. Brandon has coached at the high school, middle school, and grade school levels of the game. He founded the Woodland Lacrosse feeder program Raptors Youth Lacrosse, as well as the Nashville Groove (a former high-school aged travel team) the and was the director of the lacrosse program at A-Game (now TOA Sports Performance Center) in Franklin. Most recently he helped co-found the local area, non-profit elite travel lacrosse program, Tri-Star Lacrosse. He is also active in youth football with the Brentwood Blaze, where he has coached 6 years and is a member of the board of directors. This will be Brandon’s 14th year leading the Woodland Warriors Lacrosse program.
